We have a second car for parts this week! This beauty is a 2001 VR6 Jetta. Dont let the mileage fool you, this is one of the best running and driving cars that we have pulled apart to date. No engine codes, or fault codes of any kind for that matter, are present. As with most higher mileage VR6 engines, there is some chain noise prevalent. While the engine is still fine to run like this, we would recommend a new set of chains, tensioners, and guides if the engine is being swapped into another vehicle. Das Parts sells a complete kit for this job for just $380, all in. This car does have a nice APR Carbonio Intake, and a Borla Exhaust as well. There are also Koni Yellow struts present, but they are at the end of their lives. The car does have minimal rust that has had some touch ups in the past.
